September 30 to October 2, 2011
Culture Days is a collaborative, national volunteer movement dedicated to raising the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. From September 30 to October 2, 2011, Culture Days Mississauga will feature free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators and designers at work in our city. Our arts community is growing and we are happy to present free performances and artistic exhibits across the city all weekend long. Discover local talent at Take 2, a grand showcase on Mississauga Celebration Square featuring more than 25 musical groups and artists. And be sure to check out the 4th annual Mississauga Book Fest with 20 special celebration events at the Central Library.
This year, Doors Open Mississauga is a part of Culture Days. Featuring more than 35 sites that will open their doors for tours and activities on October 1, Doors Open allows the explorer in all of us to journey though heritage sites, cultural landmarks and some of the best urban spaces in our city.
There are more than 70 free things to see and do in Mississauga during Culture Days. Check it out and be a part of the celebration!
