The Museums of Mississauga and the Streetsville Historical Society have worked together to develop a new exhibit “Preserving Streetsville’s Past: The Streetsville Historical Society Collection on display at the Museums of Mississauga“. The exhibit features seldom-seen historic photographs and artifacts from the Streetsville Historical Society’s rich collection. The exhibit, which explores the people, agriculture, businesses and buildings of Streetsville over the years, is sponsored jointly by the Friends of the Museums of Mississauga and the Streetsville Historical Society. According to Annemarie Hagan, Museums Manager, City of Mississauga, “We’re delighted to be working with the Streetsville Historical Society on this, and other projects. It is a volunteer group with a long, proud history of its own, and they have a very wonderful collection documenting the history of Streetsville, which celebrated its 150th anniversary last year. |
